XXXIII Carreira das Areas

The 33rd Carreira das Areas, the ninth race of the 11th Circuito Correndo pola Costa da Morte and part of the official FGA calendar, will be held in Carnota on Sunday, September 27th. Participation is open to everyone born in 2023 and earlier.


Registration

Registration will be open from September 1st to 22nd at 11:59 PM on the circuit's official website: correndopolacostadamorte.com. Late registrations will not be accepted.


Bib Collection

Bibs can be collected on race day starting at 9:00 AM near the Carnota granary (Hórreo); in case of rain, collection will take place at the Casa da Xesteira.

Race Schedule

10:15 a.m. – Under 10

10:30 a.m. – Under 12

10:45 a.m. – Smurfs

11:00 a.m. – 3K Race Against Cancer

11:05 a.m. – 3K Race for Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 Against Cancer

11:45 a.m. – 10K Race

3 km Race — Linear Route

The 3 km race will start at Mallou Beach and finish at the Carnota Granary, with a scheduled start time of 11:00 a.m. Participants will run 1.5 km along the sand, connect with the wooden boardwalk, and continue along the beach road to the finish line.


To facilitate travel, a shuttle bus service will run from Casa da Xesteira to Mallou Beach. The last bus will depart at 10:40 a.m., so arriving early is recommended. During registration, each participant must indicate if they will be using the shuttle service.


Charitable Collaboration

The 3K race is part of the Against Cancer initiative, in collaboration with the Provincial Association Against Cancer. The funds raised will be donated to the association at the circuit's closing gala. A "Row 0" option will also be available for those who wish to contribute without participating in the races.
