In order to make our territory, our culture and traditions known, the Carnota Council organizes a program of guided tours during the months of July and August to the most emblematic places and with the most tourist interest in the municipality.
On July 10, the first of the routes through the parish of Lira will take place where the remains of old salt factories, the "Caseta de Pepe do Cuco" museum, the site of the sinking of the Spanish Navy ship Ariete and the Lira granary will be visited. The route will be repeated on August 21.
Another of the proposed routes and one of the most demanded is the climb to the Moa (Monte Pindo). The departure will take place from the village of Fieiro. The appointments will take place on July 17 and August 7.
The night visit to the Laxiñas petroglyph will be held on July 24 and August 14. There will be an interpretation of the landscape from the viewpoint of Lira and the Laxiñas petroglyph will be visited. To favor the visibility of the engravings, artificial lighting will be projected. Participants must bring at least one flashlight per couple or family.
On the 31st of July and the 28th of August, an audio-guided walk through the town of Pindo is planned, leaving from the Confraría do Pindo, where the headphones will be collected.
All routes have a cost of €3 to be paid into the following Carnota Council account: ES84 2080 0334 8731 1000 0035 except for the audio-guided routes by the Pindo in which payment will be made at the Confraría do Pindo itself in cash. In the concept of payment, you must indicate: guided tour + date of the visit + name/s of the person or persons participating in the event that a single payment is made for more than one person.
