Carnota will celebrate the XII edition of the fair 'Víndemo Ver' with crafts, tradition and local culture

Less than a month for the XII Mostra de Promoción Local Víndemo Ver-Mercado da Deputación.


For a couple of years now, the City Council of Carnota has been committed to the thematization of the Víndemo Ver, recovering part of the history of the municipality. That first year, the event revolved around dairies who were going to sell milk to Muros; The main theme of the book was Corn. In 2024 the fair has been articulated around fishing and the processing of sardines and this 2025 the Sea of Ardora will be the protagonist.


On the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th of April, the square of San Gregorio de Carnota will host a wide variety of organic and local products from the garden, along with a wide range of craft stalls by local creators, within the "Mercado da Deputación". In addition to these spaces, different food and drink stalls will be distributed throughout the square to taste in the open air.


As in previous editions, the exhibition is completed with a wide range of cultural, sporting and recreational activities for all audiences.


The event will begin on Thursday 17, at 5:00 p.m., with the opening ceremony and a talk-colloquium on the sea of fire in the plenary hall of the City Hall, by the hand of Ana García (photojournalist of La Voz de Galicia), Francisco Rodríguez Hernández (researcher at the Oceanographic Center of Vigo) and Julio Canosa Marcote (from Fish-Terra boat).


On Friday 18 March it will be the XII BTT, with departure at 09:30 h from the Carnota pavilion. Registration will be open in cronotec.es from March 24 to April 15.


Parallel to the XII BTT Route, there will be a mini Btt of about 5km for the girl who wants to follow in the footsteps of the great cyclists and, in addition, the IV Xincana of children's bicycles that will be installed in the Carnota pavilion from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Don't forget to bring your own bike and helmet.

As usual, the program includes a thematic walk. The route chosen this year is "Andar al mar", which runs from the lighthouse of Lariño to Carnota, with a linear route of about 13 km. It will be on Saturday, April 19 and the departure will take place at 09:30 h, from San Gregorio de Carnota Square. The transfer to the starting point of the route will be carried out by bus and the route will run for the most part along sidewalks and along old roads to the sea. Registrations can be made in cronotec.es from March 24 to April 15.


There will also be countless recreational activities for children, such as traditional games, pottery and basketry workshops, etc. There will also be cultural performances and traditional music to brighten up the atmosphere, by the Longarela Bagpipe Band and the Chan de Lamas Musical Group, as well as traditional music and dance with the Rancho de Cabezudos de Ximiela.


On the evening there will be concerts. On Thursday 17, at 10:00 p.m., Chiña will perform. On Friday 18 at 10:00 p.m., there will be the concerts of Juan del Tractor and Los Lunes al Sol, with versions from the 80s and 90s to the present. The last night of concerts will be Saturday, March 19, with 9Louro and Xurxo Fernandes.


During the four days, it will be possible to visit in the carpa grande, at the post of the City Council of Carnota – Provincial Council of A Coruña, the exhibition of photographs "Os segredos do mar de ardora" by Ana García (photojournalist of La Voz de Galicia) and the exhibition of fishing techniques and equipment of the twentieth century "Alma mariñeira en Carnota".
