Carnota shone in the XII edition of the fair "Víndemo Ver"

From April 17 to 20, Carnota hosted the XII Promotion Exhibition "Víndemo-Mercado da Deputación," transforming the square of San Gregorio into hub of local craftsmanship, tradition, and culture. This year's event, dedicated to the captivating phenomenon of the mar de ardora, was highly successful in both attendance and participation, further cementing its status as a cornerstone for the cultural and economic development of the region.
Visitors were able to enjoy a wide range of local products, local crafts, gastronomic establishments and outdoor activities. The fair opened its doors with an opening ceremony and an interesting talk-colloquium that included the participation of experts such as Ana García (photojournalist from La Voz de Galicia, Francisco Rodríguez Hernández (Researcher in IEO-CSIC) and Julio Canosa Marcote (from Fish-Terra boats) who shared their knowledge about the burning sea. The event was also attended by the mayor, Juan M. Saborido and the deputy of heritage of the Deputation of Coruña.
There was a great festive atmosphere during the sports activities, such as the XII MTB Route, the children's mini MTB and the IV Xincana of bicycles in which the little ones participated.
The “ruta Andar ao Mar" on Saturday passed without incident despite the unfavorable weather during the morning. The route that started at the Lariño lighthouse and ended in Carnota was accompanied by the Ximiela group.
The music and cultural performances were on a festive note, highlighting the concerts of Chiña, Juan do Tractor, Los Lunes al Sol, 9Louro and Xurxo Fernandes. In addition, activities for children, such as pottery and traditional basket making, traditional games and shows, kept the little ones entertained for the four days.
The fair was also an opportunity to take pride in the history and culture of the sea thanks to thematic exhibitions, including Ana García's collection of photographs “TLos secretos del mar de ardora” and the traditional fishing gear of the 20th century, which enchanted attendees.
With this edition, Carnota reaffirms the success of its commitment to thematization, offering an event that stands out for its commitment to the promotion of local products in a family environment.
